General Assembly

Monday, June 23–25One Community, 251 rue Bank Street, 2nd floor/2e étage,* 6:30 PM/18h30

All are welcome, with respect to our new Safer Spaces policy.

Discussion topic: Building a movement.

Activists engaged in campaigning at the recent convention of the Canadian Labour Congress and those looking forward to the Peoples’ Social Forum here in Ottawa in August are all talking about building our movement. We’re inviting a couple of guests to lead off a discussion.

The coordinating committee will bring forward a proposal to advance our discussion about how SAA can best continue its work.

There will be reports on working group activities.

General Assemblies are where we make decisions using consensus-based direct democracy, with facilitation.

Meetings are mostly in English, but anyone can speak the language of their choosing.  Translation can be provided for French speakers.

*Elevator in building.
